Simulator of the Gods in Another World

Cheng Fangxu bound himself to the Otherworldly Deity Simulator.

In the otherworld, human technology advanced at breakneck speed, and the gap between rich and poor became an impassable chasm. The land beyond the cities had become almost entirely barren, while the few remaining animals were used for various studies in experimental facilities.

As a deity, he had to help the other living creatures survive.

Before him, there had already been two deities.

The first deity granted them strength, giving animals more powerful bodies and making plants grow wildly.

The second deity granted them intelligence, allowing the resistance to develop leadership and strategy.

But they were still powerless against humanity's weapons.

As a devoted base-building game player, Cheng Fangxu chose to build an underground shelter.

Just as he was about to confirm that the underground city would open its doors to those seeking refuge, he transmigrated back to his own world.

A year later, he had nearly forgotten those memories.

Then one day, a game called Above the Dark City automatically downloaded onto everyone's phones.

In the game, mutated creatures had taken over human cities, roaming among the steel walls, while monsters crawled endlessly out of the abyss to feed on human flesh.

Under the leadership of mechanical lifeforms, the surviving humans built bases and struggled to hold on.

Every month, a group of players was pulled into the game to help humanity defend its bases.

Cheng Fangxu, who had terrible luck, became one of the first players.

The game featured a mysterious evil god as its villain: the creator of the abyss, the mother of the mutated creatures, and the king of monsters, worshipped atop a platform in a temple of the dead.

The players' ultimate mission was to wipe out the source of the calamity once and for all.

When the players reached the villain's stronghold, Cheng Fangxu saw the familiar temple, engraved with the game's forty-eight-character mantra.

#Isn't that the home I built back then?

#The evil god is actually me?!
