How a Healing Foodie Conquered the Wasteland

[Updates at 6:00 PM]

When Chu Xingzhou opened his eyes, he discovered that he had transmigrated to a wasteland world, in the body of the character model from the game he used to play.

The good news: all his in-game skills still worked, and he could even buy and sell things in the game shop.

The bad news: money here had to be earned by killing mutants and collecting their cores. And he was a healer, so one attack from him made mutants 99+ times stronger.

The even worse news: the wasteland was utterly desolate. Even taking a careless sip of water could infect him and cause him to mutate. The food was worse: air-dried rats, earthworms...

And he couldn't even afford to buy any of this disgusting garbage.

With nothing left to lose, Chu Xingzhou spent the few hundred gold coins remaining in his account on ingredients and seasonings from the game shop. He'd eat this last meal, then starve to death...

He didn't get to eat his so-called "last meal."

The delicious aroma of his cooking drifted for miles and attracted a legendary disaster-class beast. The beast devoured his food and became his muscle...

Chu Xingzhou thought he could throw his weight around in the wasteland with the beast at his side.

Then one day, he boldly picked up a man who had fainted from hunger.

He planned to use the man's debt to him to enslave him, but ended up being captured by the man instead.

That disaster-class beast? The man beat it whenever he felt like it...

Chu Xingzhou: "I saved your life..."

Bian Yushan: "Three meals a day, or I'll kill you!"

To stop Chu Xingzhou from running away, Bian Yushan stayed by his side every moment of the day. Even when they slept, they had to share a bed.

Chu Xingzhou's skills could purify radiation. He claimed all the mutant meat that nobody else dared eat and used these strange ingredients to set up a traveling food stall.

Charcoal-grilled radiation lizard tail, double-headed lion-scorpion soup, sizzling lava crab claws...

There's too much to eat, far too much!

Who says there's no food in the wasteland?

As his resources accumulated, the game shop gradually upgraded,

unlocking new goods: plant seeds, springs...

The new goods couldn't be bought with money. He had to trade merit for them.

Tired of eating meat, Chu Xingzhou had been craving vegetables for ages. He slapped his thigh and said,

"Fine, then let's build a shelter for the wanderers!"

Civilization needed to rise again, and he needed fresh vegetables!

Wasteland wanderers: No need to say anything. We'll follow Chu Xingzhou, eat well and drink our fill, and never fight and kill again!
