I Kissed My Mortal Enemy in a Dream

Li Mengye had a fiery temper and was a big deal at No. 3 High School, where nobody dared mess with him.

That changed when Cheng Qingyan showed up at the start of their second year of high school and turned his life upside down.

Li Mengye asked someone to play basketball, but Cheng Qingyan blocked the door with a stack of homework. "Last in the grade, and you still have the nerve to play basketball?"

After evening self-study, Li Mengye invited everyone out for karaoke. Cheng Qingyan's call came right on time: "Got money to burn? Why not buy a few practice books instead? Is singing karaoke going to get you into college?"

Less than a week into knowing each other, they were at each other's throats. In half a semester, they arranged four fights.

Everyone thought they would go on butting heads forever.

Then one night, Li Mengye started having strange dreams.

In them, Cheng Qingyan somehow made his way into Li Mengye's room, then came close and eagerly kissed and cuddled him.

Once might have been a fluke, but the dream came almost every night.

Staring at the dark circles under his eyes in the mirror, Li Mengye fell into deep thought.

"I can't stand him when I see him during the day, but I dream about kissing him at night... Could I like him?"

Impossible. Absolutely impossible!

He wasn't into men.

Cheng Qingyan had a crush on Li Mengye and wanted to go to college in the same city as him.

The good news: He could still use all his in-game skills, and even buy and sell things in the game shop.

The bad news: Money here came from killing mutants and collecting their cores, and he was a healer, so one hit from him made the mutants 99+ times stronger.

Worse still, the wasteland was bleak and desolate. A random gulp of water could infect you and make you mutate, while the only food was dried-out rats and earthworms...

And he couldn't even afford those disgusting scraps.

With nothing left to lose, Chu Xingzhou used the few hundred coins remaining in his account to buy ingredients and seasonings from the game shop. He figured he might as well eat one last meal before he starved to death...

But he never got to eat that "last meal."

The aroma of his cooking spread for miles, drawing a legendary disaster-class beast. The beast devoured his food and became his bodyguard...
