Drowning in Cherries

1. At a class reunion, during truth or dare, someone asked Mi You what the most outrageous thing she'd done as a student was.

Mi You smiled. “Falling for a girl.”

On a rainy day, she threw her an umbrella.

At sports day, she handed her orange-lemon water.

Mi You couldn't return her feelings and gently moved Jian Rong's hands away.

“I've loved someone for seven years.”

Jian Rong was getting married. At the wedding,

Mi You took Peipei by the hand and splashed a whole dressful of wine over Jian Rong.

Jian Rong smiled angrily. “Isn't it disgusting for a girl to like a girl?”

The sun was blazing that day. When Mi You turned around, she saw her at the wedding.

That woman stood by the flower-covered arch, her lovely brows arched, her beautiful eyes sparkling. She cut off the conversation with a bright smile and answered Jian Rong's taunt for Mi You: “Do I disgust you?”

She was the most honored guest among the groom's relatives. The groom hurried over, ignored Jian Rong, and apologized to her instead.

Mi You watched her from across the crowd, as if she were gazing at a landscape washed clean by rain.

Then that very woman met Mi You's eyes.

With brilliant light behind her, she walked toward Mi You. “My name is Qin Dongzhi.”

“I...”

“You're Mi You.” She cut her off. “Have we met before? You look so familiar!”

Mi You smiled, paused, and said, “I don't know you.”

“Then let's get to know each other right now.”

4. I can't remember where I read this, but a secret crush is one person's chaos, not two people spending their lives together.

But Mi You discovered that her secret crush seemed to be headed for a third ending: getting together.
