The main story is complete. My new novel, After I Died, I Became Senior Sister's Pocket Bird, is now underway.
Blurb 1:
One day, Tao Yitong of the Special Incident Management Bureau receives a mission. Her colleagues have learned that someone in the Jiang family of Haishi may be involved in a cannibalistic demon case the Bureau has been investigating for over twenty years. To follow the trail and find the mastermind, her superiors bundle her off to live with the biological parents she has just found: the Jiang family.
The atmosphere in the Jiang household is very strange. When she first returns, everyone seems to harbor a vague hostility toward her. That's fine; Tao Yitong doesn't like them much either. But for the mission, she has to calm her temper every day and remind her hands not to accidentally string them up on a lamppost before the job is done.
A week later, the fake heiress comes home. Tao Yitong hides her sharp edges and pretends to be a pitiful girl unloved by her parents. But she seems to overdo it, and the fake heiress starts looking at her with ever more affection, giving her shares and spending money and taking care of everything from meals to clothes to a place to live.
Tao Yitong has nearly been turned into a couch potato when her colleagues' resentful reminders jolt her awake. Jiang Zitan has quietly undermined our resolve! How terrifying!
Even more terrifying, some inexplicable people keep telling her that Jiang Zitan will leave sooner or later and can't protect her forever. Tao Yitong doesn't need protection, but whenever she thinks about the first half of that statement, she tosses and turns all night.
Then one day, a strange book falls out of the melodramatic true-and-fake-heiress novel a colleague packed for her. She flips to the ending, where it says the two heiresses live happily ever after together...
Tao Yitong (shocked.jpg): What a great book! This could actually work!
Blurb 2:
Jiang Zitan accidentally learns the truth about her birth: she isn't her parents' biological daughter, and the true heiress has been lost outside the family for over twenty years, suffering through many hardships.
The true heiress is well-behaved and sensible, but the atmosphere at home grows stranger by the day. Her parents are very cold toward their biological daughter and, for some unknown reason, especially dislike her.
Anyone would develop psychological problems in such an oppressive environment, so Jiang Zitan simply brings the girl to live with her. She wants to return everything belonging to the Jiang family to the true heiress, but she never expects the pitiful girl to be so clingy and good at acting cute, making Jiang Zitan give in a little more every time.
The true heiress is adorable. Jiang Zitan wouldn't mind raising her as a little sister for the rest of her life.
But she never expects to become prey in the darkness. People coveting her flesh and blood set up a trap and invite her to a banquet, where she sees another side of the world. Ghosts and demons revel in the night, and she is about to become food for the monsters they keep.
Just as she is backed into a corner with nowhere left to go, the younger sister who shouldn't be there suddenly appears behind her and covers her eyes. She hears the sound of ghosts being torn apart, and something chewing beside her ear.
Her friend screams, calling her a monster.
They say monsters eat people.
Fangs that don't belong to a human graze her delicate neck. Jiang Zitan makes no move to defend herself, embracing the "monster" with complete trust.
Jiang Zitan believes Tao Yitong would never hurt her. If Tongtong needs flesh and blood, then Jiang Zitan will feed her.

Blurb:
Everyone knows that the elegant and otherworldly Immortal Venerable Yun Heng is near the divine realm in cultivation and has no personal attachments, his heart devoted to all living beings. She is the coldest snow atop Yunwu Mountain.
As Yun Heng's only junior sister, Wen Qiwи has kept a secret in her heart since she was young: she loves her senior sister. But this love is destined to remain hidden from the world. She thought she could keep the secret for her whole life, but she overestimated herself. One jug of barely intoxicating immortal wine was enough to undo years of restraint.
At the moment she was sent to the Cliff of Reflection, Wen Qiwи felt some regret, but mostly relief. She was born with a chronic illness and a weak constitution, and wasn't destined to live long. It was better to die without regrets.
A few years later, war broke out between the immortals and demons. Perhaps her senior sister thought she had moved on from that love. Before leaving, she sent a message telling Wen Qiwи to stay in the sect and wait for her to return with her favorite chestnut cakes.
Her senior sister ultimately couldn't bear to keep her locked up forever. Unfortunately, Wen Qiwи never got to wait for the chestnut cakes, or for her senior sister. Instead, she encountered the demon army sneaking around to attack the sect.
Perhaps the heavens took pity on her. Though she should have been reduced to nothing, she came back to life inside a spirit beast egg on the frontier.
Even though she was far from the sect, she deliberately avoided news related to her past. Still, many years later, she heard people talking about her senior sister.
She heard a storyteller say that Immortal Venerable Yun Heng had been gravely injured in that battle. Then she heard gossip that the Immortal Venerable hadn't been injured at all, but had developed a heart demon from being unable to win the affections of the moon in her heart. Wen Qiwи tried and tried to endure these ridiculous claims, but eventually transformed into a white bird to teach the speaker a lesson for spreading rumors. Instead, she was accidentally caught by Yunwu Mountain's disciples and sent to the Immortal Venerable as a pet to keep her amused.
When she saw her senior sister again after so many years, Wen Qiwи discovered that the stories of her grave injuries were true, and so was the heart demon. Her once taciturn senior sister now locked herself in her room every day, holding a birdcage and murmuring incoherent, illogical words. A plate of untouched chestnut cakes was always nearby. Wen Qiwи couldn't escape, so she became her senior sister's only audience each day.
Later, Wen Qiwи discovered that every word her senior sister had said was love she had never managed to express.
Theme: Keep a kind and courageous heart, even in adversity.
First Disciple: So you left me alone to be sad. Are you human beings? By the way, none of you are human Q~Q
Although Noreen was going to be broken, I was very happy. 🐶
As expected of an immortal species, I haven't seen you for so many years, so I'm not in a hurry.
