After Becoming My Crush's Mortal Enemy

Years after transmigrating into a world of immortal cultivation, Xie Wanshu suddenly heard a belated voice in her mind. The System told her that her senior sister, Ji Ciying, whose confession she had just rejected, was the protagonist of this world, while her own body secretly belonged to a spy for the Heavenly Demon. One day, Ji Ciying would run her through with a sword.

One piece of bad news after another came crashing down, and Xie Wanshu shut herself in her room, wallowing in despair for several days.

Who could have guessed that after she deliberately distanced herself, Ji Ciying, the senior sister who had rejected her confession, would regret it? This taciturn woman silently followed her around, drove away every strange woman who tried to approach, and used every slightly clumsy but heartfelt means she could think of to win her back.

Xie Wanshu once thought this love might earn her a little more trust. She was wrong. The moment her identity was exposed, she still couldn't overcome Ji Ciying's hatred of the Heavenly Demon.

Without mercy, Ji Ciying tore up their marriage contract and expelled her from the sect.

Not long afterward, Xie Wanshu died in the hunt against the Heavenly Demon that Ji Ciying had personally arranged. To the very end, she never saw again the person who had once promised to protect her forever.

At least she had completed her mission, and the System gave her a chance to come back to life.

But Xie Wanshu never expected that even after deliberately avoiding Ji Ciying, she would still run into her. The woman was still hunting the Heavenly Demon, but this seemingly mad woman always carried a portrait and questioned every captured demon in a voice so tender it was eerie.

"Have you seen anyone of your kind with this face? She's my Daoist partner. I've been looking for her for years."

Later, when Wanshu's identity was accidentally exposed, the bloodstained, disheveled woman blocked her doorway. She reined in her madness and carefully held out the marriage contract, which she had kept safe in her arms without letting it get dirty.

Unfortunately, Xie Wanshu no longer dared to trust her. After all, she had no second life to gamble with.

So, in response to Ji Ciying's pleas, she coldly burned the contract and said, "We haven't had anything to do with each other for a long time. Please don't call yourself my Daoist partner, Immortal Ji. It makes me uncomfortable."
