[A STEM guy goes on a blind date with an anime-loving cross-dresser]

[Normie x anime fan]

Jiang Yun had been single for over twenty years.

His parents kept urging him to find someone. After turning them down again and again, Jiang Yun started talking nonsense and told them he liked men.

His parents were quiet for a while, then introduced him to another blind date.

Jiang Yun opened the person's profile. The gender was listed as male, and the avatar was a pink-haired anime girl cupping her face in her hands.

He sighed and told his parents this would be his last blind date.

Jiang Yun sent the other person a greeting: Hello.

The reply came back: Hello there ( ′ y▽ ` )

On the day of the date, Jiang Yun arrived at their agreed meeting place on time.

He saw a pink-haired girl appear at the entrance, carrying a bag covered in anime character badges.

The other person introduced herself: Hi, I'm Yu Huai.

Jiang Yun realized that Yu Huai looked almost exactly like the avatar.

His heartbeat seemed to speed up a little.

One day, Yu Huai invited Jiang Yun over to his place.

For someone like Jiang Yun, visiting someone of the opposite sex at home was a big deal. He even made a point of putting on a new pair of glasses.

Jiang Yun rang Yu Huai's doorbell, but the person who opened the door was a pink-haired man who looked very much like Yu Huai.

He chose his words carefully. "Hello. Are you Yu Huai's older brother?"

The pink-haired man smiled. "What? I'm Yu Huai."

Only then did Jiang Yun understand why his parents had sent him Yu Huai's WeChat contact in the first place.

Yu Huai said, "I always set my gender to male."

Jiang Yun looked at Yu Huai. He realized his heart still seemed to be beating very fast.
