Su Qian binds herself to an escape System to keep herself alive.
In the first instance, the battle royale begins. A blood-soaked evil spirit boss approaches Su Qian, and she thinks she's about to die. But who would have thought that the evil spirit boss would sneeze, then look disgusted and walk around her?
When the battle royale ends, everyone but her is dead. Su Qian sits there, staring blankly at the evil spirit boss, while a notification sounds overhead, announcing that she has cleared the level.
Su Qian is completely bewildered. Thanks to her knack for being disliked by evil spirits, she manages to survive the first instance.
Then, in the second instance, the other players are being bitten and torn apart by evil spirits, while Su Qian is still the only one they avoid. She is utterly speechless.
Shang Yun, standing among the crowd, pats Su Qian on the shoulder. Her blood-red eyes darken for a moment as she asks quietly, "You seem to prefer being chased by evil spirits?"
Su Qian freezes. Before she can answer, a horde of evil spirits charges toward them.
In a flash, Su Qian grabs Shang Yun and runs, comforting her as they flee and telling her not to be scared. Something feels off, but she can't put her finger on it.
It isn't until Su Qian overhears Shang Yun talking to the evil spirits that she suddenly understands.
The pitiful little thing she had imagined was actually the real evil spirit. The only reason she had survived until now was that Shang Yun liked the look of her and wanted to tease her.
Su Qian shuts herself away and falls silent, secretly swearing never to speak to Shang Yun again. Yet every time an evil spirit chases her, she runs right into Shang Yun's arms.
Damn it! She's gotten used to living off someone else's kindness! She's been spoiled rotten!
Shang Yun meets someone praying to evil spirits. Thinking the person is too foolish, she decides to tease her a little, only to fall for her instead. So she simply spoils her, watching Su Qian fall deeper and deeper into her trap.
