A Cheap Substitute

Shen Qing was with Xiao Ning for seven years, lowering herself to the utmost and carefully trying to win Xiao Ning’s affection, yet Xiao Ning never once looked at her properly.

After making it through the seven-year itch, Shen Qing didn’t get a confession. Instead, she got a look of disgust from Xiao Ning and the words, “You’re delusional.”

Only later did Shen Qing learn that she had spent seven years as a substitute, all because she looked like that person.

Shen Qing and her seven years together were cast aside.

After Shen Ning left, Xiao Ning looked at the empty room and suddenly felt a hollow place in her heart, as if something were missing. She called Shen Qing’s name without thinking, but no one answered.

Later, Xiao Ning saw Shen Qing smiling in someone else’s arms with her own eyes. Her heart ached, and she stepped forward to pull Shen Qing away, only for Shen Qing to see right through her with a look of disgust and tell her to get lost.

Fortunes change. Xiao Ning became the one groveling, while Shen Qing could only feel annoyed when she saw her.
