After the documentary "A Doctor's Heart" aired, Duan Siyu, a surgeon at the Military Region General Hospital, shot to fame overnight. In the video, he wore an immaculate white coat, cool and self-possessed as winter frost. Aside from when he was treating patients, he was usually so aloof he seemed almost inhuman.
The letter tattoo on his wrist inspired endless speculation. Some gossiped that it was the name of a first love Dr. Duan could never forget.
Jiang Tian, a stunning goddess of the entertainment world, was slender and graceful as a willow, moving with the lightness of a startled swan. One classical dance performance made her an overnight sensation, and she had countless admirers. Rumor had it she was involved with many powerful figures in the industry, and her background was a mystery.
During an interview, a reporter asked Jiang Tian what she looked for in a partner. She pointed to the man in the documentary, her eyes sparkling. "I like someone like Dr. Duan."
After the interview aired, Jiang Tian was ridiculed by everyone. How dare she try to lay claim to Dr. Duan, a celestial being banished to the mortal world?
Even his hospital colleagues thought the pure-hearted, desireless Duan Siyu would never like a scandal-ridden, beautiful but shallow actress like Jiang Tian.
2. One day, Jiang Tian injured her right leg in an accident while filming. Her attending physician was none other than Duan Siyu.
On the hospital bed, Jiang Tian clung to Dr. Duan and refused to let go, calling out in a sweet voice, "Dr. Duan, it hurts so much."
The man's dark eyes, still as a deep pool, reddened slightly. His voice was hoarse. "Let go."
Jiang Tian shook her head. "No."
In the silence, Duan Siyu's rigid back finally gave way. His brow furrowed. "Do you want to keep that leg or not?"
Jiang Tian gave him a coy look. "Sure. Then give me a kiss."
The reporters who rushed over at the news could hardly believe their eyes. The next moment, they saw the man in the hospital room lower his head, restrained and helpless. His lips gently brushed the corner of the woman's mouth. Clear-eyed, he was still falling, one step at a time.
[3] A curvaceous beauty often appeared in Dr. Duan's office, but she always wore a mask, making her both alluring and mysterious.
Soon, everyone knew that Jiang Tian was shamelessly pursuing Dr. Duan. She still acted without restraint, until someone spotted Dr. Duan wearing a wedding ring.
Not long afterward, Jiang Tian posted two photos on Weibo.
In the first, she and Duan Siyu were young, wearing blue-and-white school uniforms and holding hands shyly.
In the second, they posed together for their marriage certificate.
Dr. Duan, who doted on his wife, reposted it with the caption: "I've only ever loved you, Mrs. Duan."
