Can You Find Matsuda Jinpei in a Gin and Tonic?

Synopsis: For twenty-two ordinary years, or at least in the seven seconds before the bomb exploded, Matsuda Jinpei watched his life flash before his eyes and came to this conclusion.

So you can imagine his confusion when he woke up in the Organization's infirmary.

"Welcome back, Gin," a member of the Organization's medical team said, holding a file.

"Who the hell is Gin?" Matsuda Jinpei retorted instinctively. But the face-slapping came so swiftly he could barely react. The moment his lost memories returned, he couldn't help shouting, "Wait! I really am Gin!"

Shocking! The 22-year-old police officer, in the prime of his life and full of justice, is actually the ruthless, hard-working old monster of the liquor business! What on earth is going on with this world?

--A few words from the author--

Story premise (highlighted): Matsuda Jinpei is Gin, the Organization's hardest worker.

Inspiration: One day, when I was giving Jinpei-chan an alcohol codename, I somehow thought of gin. They both have "matsu" in their names. Only after looking it up did I discover that gin is another name for Gin (stunned into silence).
