A Heart That Reaches Across the Miles

Qiu Chao has complicated feelings for her senior brother.

Does she like him? Of course she does. But she still feels conflicted, for three reasons:

First, her senior brother thinks she is a junior brother who likes women.

Second, her senior brother is devoted to the Dao and doesn't seem interested in romance.

Third, her senior brother doesn't know she has a little secret with a monster that she can't tell anyone about.

All three reasons matter equally, with no particular order of importance.

Gu Huan has complicated feelings for his junior brother.

Does he like him? Of course he does. But he still feels conflicted, for three reasons:

First, his junior brother always seems to have bad luck because of him.

Second, he wants to keep his distance for his junior brother's sake, but he can't do it.

Third, he'd like to get even closer to his junior brother, but his junior brother already has someone he loves.

These three reasons are not equally important. Each one is less important than the one before it.
