Yu Mian grew up by a stream.
He looked like a doll, with clear, bright eyes. Unfortunately, he had been quiet since childhood, which worried everyone around him.
Then a car accident took his father's life, and brought Yu Mian into the home of the boss of the driver responsible.
To quell public outrage, a wealthy family adopted Yu Mian.
The place was magnificent, like a palace.
Holding his small, shabby bag, he stood blankly in the living room, gazing up at the stained-glass windows high above, where sunlight shone through.
The auntie beside him was gentle, softly coaxing him: "Mianmian, don't be afraid. This will be your home from now on."
A boy in ripped clothes stood on the stairs. He had striking features and was extremely handsome, but his expression was sour.
"Get out." Xi Quan treated the new little one terribly, even declaring, "If I'd ever agree to live under the same roof as him, then I'm a dog!"

But before long, everyone noticed...
In kindergarten, Yu Mian couldn't put on his pajamas, and Xi Quan would scowl and say, "How can you not know how to do anything?"
Then he'd help him get dressed himself, taking charge of dressing and feeding Yu Mian;
In elementary school, when Yu Mian was bullied, Xi Quan would fly into a rage. "Why do people bully you every day? You're useless!"
He'd drag the bully over on the spot and make him copy "I'm sorry" a hundred times as an apology to Yu Mian;
In middle school, Yu Mian was frail and sick every other day. Xi Quan would frown and say, "What a little weakling!"
Then he'd research nourishing meals every day, bringing him up healthy and fair-skinned;
When Yu Mian grew up and someone confessed to him, Xi Quan...
Xi Quan flew into a fury and pinned the dazed Yu Mian, who had been trailing behind him, against the wall.
It was the first time Yu Mian had ever seen Xi Quan truly panic and lose his temper.
"Mianmian." Xi Quan gently bit his lip, like a beast staking its claim. "You are not allowed to be with anyone else."
"Have you forgotten? You're the doll I raised. You're mine."

Xi Quan had been aloof and solitary since childhood. Then, on his fifth birthday, he had a dream.
In the dream, his father brought home a boy who looked like a doll. He was beautiful, but sickly, and the great young master of the Xi family had to coax him through everything. He was spoiled and timid.
And Xi Quan would give his heart and soul for him, going to great lengths to treat him well.
The arrogant Xi Quan, who looked down on everyone: "Ha."
He'd do any of that? He'd sooner be a dog!
Later, one rainy night, someone confessed to Yu Mian.
With a cold expression and soaked through, Xi Quan snatched him away from the other person and murmured in his ear, "Mianmian... Mianmian is my precious treasure."
His alone, a precious treasure he'd raised from childhood, whom he wouldn't let anyone else covet even a little.
#Youth is wasted if you don't get to be a dog :)#
#Wifey, so sweet, come cuddle!#

1. Frail, emotionally oblivious sweetheart bottom vs. possessive, mad-dog top.
2. The bottom was an autistic, sickly child when he was young, but gradually grows into a lively, cheerful person.
3. Both leads have flaws. Neither is a perfect character.
4. A sweet, slow-burn romance ^w^
