Secretly in Love with Jiang Chuan

That summer after the high school entrance exams, new neighbors moved in next door to Ming Yi's grandfather's house. The neighbor's little girl grabbed Ming Yi's StellaLou and wouldn't let go. Ming Yi was just about to reason with her when a handsome guy with tattooed arms came out of the neighbor's house.

"Big brother! She hit me!"

The handsome guy stubbed out his cigarette. His gaze moved from the girl to Ming Yi's face, his expression darkening like a storm was about to break.

In her sixteen years of life, Ming Yi had never seen a real thug before. So scared she forgot to explain, she fled in a panic.

That very night, she was kidnapped by a gang of drunkards and tied up in a warehouse.

As she listened to the kidnappers outside shouting that they'd kill their hostage, Ming Yi's face was streaked with tears, her whole body icy cold.

Later, she heard that the kidnappers had apparently been beaten to a pulp. The door opened, and the tattooed hunk walked in, swinging one fist and holding StellaLou in his other hand.

He crouched in front of Ming Yi and sighed.

"Here. Don't cry."

Ming Yi never imagined she'd one day fall for a thug five years older than her, let alone that this thug was the top scorer on the city's college entrance exam and her brother's idol.

Help! How do you pursue a thug? A handsome one who's also a top student. I'm waiting online, and it's urgent.

Thanks for asking. Why not become a thug, a beauty, and a top student yourself?

Being a beauty isn't a problem, and becoming a top student is doable, but becoming a thug is a bit of a stretch.

So Ming Yi tries getting tattoos, piercing her ears, and dyeing her hair. But the thug himself catches her and gives her a lecture.

"If you keep going down the wrong path, do you want to see your big brother get mad?"

Ming Yi: "..."

Years later, after they got together, Jiang Chuan finally learned that Ming Yi had always thought he was a thug, the gang-leader kind.

Jiang Chuan scoffed and took Ming Yi's finger, pressing it against his heart.

"Do you know what a real thug is?"

Ming Yi: "...No."

"If you dare bring up breaking up, I'll kill myself. Otherwise, I'll cling to you until death."

Ming Yi: "..."
