Don't Covet Me

[Important warning: neither lead is a virgin] A story about two players

Sheng Shimian, South City's player number one, gets nagged by his family to get married every day.

Jiang Wanyi, South City's player number two, gets nagged by her family to get married plus 10,086.

At a dinner party, the two players who can't stand each other hit it off and decide to pretend to be each other's partner, covering for one another.

Everything goes smoothly until one day, when a drunk Miss Jiang spends a passionate night with Young Master Sheng.

After waking up, Miss Jiang tries to wriggle out of it. "Sheng Shimian, a player should have some standards. I'm not giving up my whole stable of admirers for you."

Young Master Sheng says nonchalantly, "What a joke. Who doesn't have a pond full of fish?"

*

Not long after, the two players start to find their games less and less fun.

One day, Sheng Shimian sees Jiang Wanyi on a date, secretly follows her, and scares off her admirer.

When Miss Jiang finds out, she starts scaring off his admirers in return.

And so the two players wrecked each other's fishponds.

Later, Sheng Shimian suggests, "Since we've already turned our fake relationship into a real one, why not be with me?"

Miss Jiang readily agrees, then goes on another date the next day.

Sheng Shimian pulls her next door and kisses her until her lips are swollen. "Wanyi, didn't we agree to settle down together? Why are you still dating other people?"

"I... need love."

"I've got plenty of love to give. From now on, it's all yours. Want it?"

Miss Jiang hesitates and puts on an act. "I haven't decided yet."

Young Master Sheng squats on the floor, thinks it over, then sighs. "Then how about I be your fish first?"
