After Meeting My Online Rival in Real Life

Road trip | Childhood sweethearts | Bickering couple | Happy ending, mutual firsts

A sweet-on-the-outside, scheming childhood friend and a grudge-holding childhood sweetheart

Shen Suihe went to Xicheng on vacation and planned to meet her online boyfriend in person. Only after they met did she realize he was her nemesis, Zhou Yanhui.

They had a huge argument and decided to go their separate ways, but both their phones and wallets were stolen. Two thousand kilometers from home and penniless, the only available transport was the off-road vehicle behind him.

Shen Suihe suppressed the urge to tear him limb from limb, raised her voice sweetly, and batted her eyelashes. "Honey, I've thought it over. Let's travel our way home together."

"You... don't hate me anymore?"

"I like you so much."

Shen Suihe was focused on figuring out how to fool Zhou Yanhui. She didn't notice that her usually eloquent childhood friend had suddenly started stammering, or that his ears had turned bright red.

Originally, Shen Suihe planned to dump him as soon as they got back to Nancheng.

But the moment they arrived, they ran into their parents meeting each other.

"The young couple is back. We can get started on arranging the wedding between our families."

Shen Suihe had no choice but to call Zhou Yanhui into a room and try to reason with him, appealing to his feelings as well. Everything she said boiled down to the fact that they weren't right for each other.

Zhou Yanhui saw through her. "So when you said you liked me before, you were pretending?"

Knowing she was in the wrong, Shen Suihe stammered, "I... I... I'll give you a breakup settlement."

"I don't agree."

"Why not? It's not like you can't find another girlfriend..."

"I like you."

Oh no. Her nemesis just confessed to her. Should she turn him down or yell back at him? Then why is her heart beating so fast?
