Conquering the Childhood Friend

After reading "The Bamboo Horse Strategy" by Qian Jiang, I was immersed in this story of youth reincarnation with a sense of fate and couldn't get out for a long time. This is a childhood sweethearts campus novel with a shell of rebirth and retrospection. It does not have a dramatic and bloody conflict, but through the dislocation of the ten-year timeline, the feelings between childhood sweethearts hidden under the fights, misunderstandings, and duplicity are laid out in front of the readers layer by layer. The protagonist Su Luo falls back to his boyhood with complete memories of his entire life. In his previous life, he and Wen Cheng had gone through a long period of time and had a stable and happy ending. But when I wake up, time goes back to the restless campus period, where things and people have changed. The old happiness has not happened yet. At this moment, Wen Cheng only regards him as a good brother. There are interferences from others around him. The lover who was once within reach has once again stood in a distant position. The gap in memory between the two lives is the most tense core of this book. Su Lue clearly knew the outcome of the two people, so he acted boldly, and with the unique confidence of someone who had experienced it, he took the initiative to tease and test, hoping to get the missed track back on track. But even with the "future script" in hand, there is still no shortcut to relationships. He can predict events, but he cannot directly tamper with another person's heartbeat. This feeling of powerlessness makes the whole story break out of the routine of ordinary rebirth novels. Wen Cheng's characterization is also outstanding. As a dazzling school bully in everyone's eyes, he is pure and ignorant when it comes to emotions, a blank slate. Faced with Su Lue's sudden and extraordinary move, he was at a loss and was ready to take advantage of the situation. He is not a character who will fall immediately. He will be confused and awkward. He will be limited by the identity of a brother and cannot distinguish between friendship and heartbeat. Emotions are nurtured little by little. One is desperately moving forward with all the love from the past, and the other is slowly realizing it in ignorance. The pulling back and forth constitutes the best part of the whole story. In the collision of two people, there is no humble accommodation on the part of the two. The young man's pride, awkwardness, and harsh words are all vivid and real. The background of the novel is sweet, but it does not avoid the cracks in the relationship between teenagers. Youthful misunderstandings, provocations from others, and adolescent self-esteem are all real obstacles that stand between the two. The perfection of the previous life did not come out of thin air, nor did rebirth eliminate all barriers with one click. Su Lue has memories, but he also carries obsessions and emotions from his previous life. He will be wronged, angry, and hurt by Wen Cheng's favoritism. These emotions are not idle moaning, but just prove that even people who are destined to fall in love will be hurt and disappointed in the relationship. It is precisely because of this that the mutual understanding and compromise that follow are particularly valuable. The atmosphere of the entire article is full of campus fireworks, with desks, corridors, and fights between classes, vividly restoring the unique recklessness and enthusiasm of the high school era. The author is good at writing the tension between two people, and the dialogues are relaxed and humorous. Many of the passages make people smile when they read it. "The right person, regardless of age or status, just happens to like you." This is the purpose of this book and the core of what the story wants to tell readers. Fate does not rely solely on the gifts of fate. Even if the outcome is already predicted, we still need to take the initiative, communicate, and overcome misunderstandings in order to reach the perfection that belongs to each other. Rebirth gave Su Lue a chance to make a comeback, but the real success of the "strategy" was never the golden finger of rebirth, but the love that has been rooted in the hearts of two people for a long time and has not faded across the years. Going around and around, bypassing the crossroads of time, the young people still walked towards each other. It is very suitable for readers who like stories about bamboo horses, rebirth on campus, and two-way pull stories. We witnessed them go through their youth again, and we also understood that no matter how good the fate is, it cannot be separated from the two-way journey. ❤️

I don't know why I want to tear apart all the characters in the book [picking my brain]

The teacher's writing is so good. I love it.
