Hengzhong High's senior class has a top student and campus heartthrob who has ranked first for two consecutive years. His name is Jiang Li, and he even studied overseas.
In a campus interview, someone asked him: "How did you manage to stay at the top of the senior class for two years in a row?"
Jiang Li scowled and ruffled his hair. "I didn't do anything special. I broke my hand doing a bigspin right before my first college entrance exam."
A bigspin is a pretty difficult trick on a skateboard.
Jiang Li is a big deal in Hengzhong's skateboarding club. Honestly, he's pretty famous throughout Hengwu City, too.
Campus interviewer: "I don't see how that has anything to do with getting the top score."
"Oh... I thought you were asking how I managed to be a senior for two years."
·
The top scorer from two years before Jiang Li was an art student. He went on to attend Hengwu Art Institute. His grades alone would have been enough, but he also excelled in the art subject tests.
A legendary figure like him would always be admired by younger students, and the school would never forget him.
On Hengzhong's honor roll, two spots above Jiang Li's, was this person's photo. His surname was Chi, and his name was Chi Yu.
·
Hengwu City had a group of young skateboarders, with plenty of skate crews scattered across its neighborhoods.
In the area around Hengzhong and Hengwu Art Institute, Jiang Li was the big brother.
It wasn't because he was arrogant or rich. He'd earned his status with real skill, and everyone respected him.
So one day, after a monthly exam in his senior year, he skipped evening study and went to Hengwu Art Institute to back up his good friend.
Jiang Li would remember that day for the rest of his life. Nine boards lay across his path. He ran up and ollied over them, only to slide to his knees and crash right in front of someone, knocking over their fruit tea and soaking himself.
Luckily, the person was kind. They helped him up, handed him some tissues, and took him to their studio to change his clothes.
In the studio, crowded with canvases, Jiang Li saw a business card on the desk. The kind stranger was Chi Yu, the guy whose photo had been above his on the honor roll for two years.
·
There was a rumor going around that the president of Hengwu Art Institute's skateboarding club was an incredibly handsome dance-boarder who had even shown off a jazz dance routine during military training.
Jiang Li believed it when the club president invited him to a skateboarding competition. At the event, he saw the president take to the course himself.
On his longboard, Chi Yu was dashing.
Jiang Li wasn't great at Chinese, and for a moment he couldn't remember the other two characters in the word he wanted. Whatever it was, it described a handsome guy.
The competition also gave Jiang Li such a chance to shine that the university girls quickly dug up his entire nineteen-year history.
In the blurry footage, Chi Yu watched a ten-year-old Jiang Li racing down the course with his cap on backward. On the inside of his raised right upper arm, near his armpit, was a blurry tattoo: "The Great Way is Simple."
Little brat. He'd been a handful since childhood.
The young overseas bigshot in freestyle skateboarding, Ivan, had been worn down by the mountain of exam papers he faced in his senior year. The name he wrote on every test paper was now Jiang Li.
Every so often, he'd post pictures on Instagram of himself sleeping on the street with his skateboard, covered in exam papers.
He said he was still the same person. He could be Ivan or Jiang Li, but now he had Chi Yu, too.
Tips:
1. One-on-one romance, both leads are each other's first and only, very sweet
2. A bold, carefree freestyle skateboarder puppy and a gentle, artistic senior with a slow, thoughtful temperament
Theme: Youth cannot be defined. Let it always burn bright and soar free
The next book coming towards us is -> "The Ex Joins the Team to Snipe [E-Sports]" pre-collection is now available! Something to say about this book: First, September has started to get busy. It's almost always getting more difficult like last month, so there will be updates every one or two days in the future. Please bear with me (kneel down sincerely) (sincerely grab the ground with your head) Secondly, I will talk to you about some little knowledge about skateboarding in my speech. I am not a professional, and the description of the specific movements is really a bit in vain. Let us have a general understanding and know how awesome Young Master Jiang is! Finally, I hope you all enjoyed reading the article?(???ω???)?
Chi Yu never figured out how Jiang Li knew about his vest (
