Nine hundred years after Shun, through the generations of Zhao and Mu, we offer up sacrificial beasts. We toil throughout our lives and expend all our strength to cultivate immortality and temper our hearts. We give our bodies to cleanse the miasma of the Nine Provinces, and our lives to stem the plagues of the Four Seas, wishing only for abundant crops and a warm meal for the people.
