After sleeping for several centuries, Curtis Savino is forcibly woken up to clean up a mess. Faced with a world that has made no progress in all that time, and has even regressed, he can only ask, "Huh?"
To find the demon who was supposed to be responsible for this mess, Curtis has no choice but to step in and take the job himself. He hunts down fugitives while searching far and wide, beginning a life of year-round, unretired work.

Once he arrives in his district, Curtis discovers that it really is a disaster zone, with crimes and escaped fugitives cropping up every few days.
After kindly helping a high school and a famous local company out of trouble, he decides to look for the demon somewhere else, moving from New York to the world-famous Gotham.
Mainly because the place sounds like just the sort of spot a demon would love.
Unfortunately, he doesn't find the demon. Instead, he finds himself saddled with a whole new pile of trouble and manages to recruit a successor. Curtis figures that's at least some consolation.
At least he didn't come away empty-handed.
The only problem is... his successor has a father who's completely against the idea.
Luckily, the heir is more than willing to leave with him.
After teaming up seamlessly with his successor to catch every fugitive and find the demon, Curtis can finally return to his happy home and get some rest. But he never expected to be turned into a TV series and replayed for dozens of episodes on a loop. Curtis has been through plenty of terrible things, but he has to say this is just as messed up as any of them.
