I've been reborn!

In my previous life, I was a weak zombie. I looked down on those other zombies for losing their minds. I only liked eating vegetables.

But even a laid-back zombie like me still met with a horrible death.

Someone fell from the sky and crushed me to death.

Ah! Roar!

I'm furious! I'm going berserk!

This time, I'm going to work out hard and become a zombie athlete!

So what if humans build high walls? I'll vault over them with a pole and charge into a happy family of three to snatch the steamed corn bun from their child's hands!

Foolish humans!

A treasure like a steamed corn bun should only be offered to this king!

Apocalypse reporter: "What did this zombie do to you? Were you bitten?"

The little girl looked at the broken microphone in the reporter's hand and hesitated before answering. "S-She was terrifying! She stole my only food!"

"The steamed corn bun!"

Apocalypse reporter: "How terrifying! Zombies that steal steamed corn buns have evolved! What did humanity ever do to deserve this? What did the steamed corn buns ever do? I strongly condemn her on behalf of the Steamed Corn Bun Association!"

I looked at those fallen zombie bums who did nothing but fight over food every day and let out a deep sigh.

Zombies! If you stay this lazy, a human falling from the sky will crush you to death!

Roar! I'll make them all as strong as me!

They'll become zombies who can snatch food right out of human hands!

Apocalypse reporter: "What are you doing here? Don't you get hungry?"

The zombie strapped to the treadmill foamed at the mouth. "A-ba, a-ba! Roar!"

Apocalypse reporter: "Good heavens! Such an evil zombie! Making you exercise every day without feeding you. How terrifying!"

"She must have been a certified personal trainer when she was alive!"

Zombie: "A-ba, a-ba! Roar!"

Apocalypse reporter: All right, maybe this is a zombie slice-of-life and infrastructure-building story? It has absolutely no logic. The characters are probably like the ones in anime: they only die when it's time for them to die. Otherwise, they could go ten thousand years without eating and still wouldn't die...
