The Salted-Fish Gourmet Life of the Matriarch

Chu Jinyu transmigrates into the head mistress of the Prince of Qing's household, a woman whose husband didn't even step into their bridal chamber on their wedding night.

In the original story, the male lead already loved someone else and married her only because he had no choice.

The original owner grew resentful, committed all kinds of evil deeds, and ultimately met a miserable end when she was divorced.

Chu Jinyu thinks: Rich, free, and important, with a husband who doesn't even come home? What kind of heavenly life is this?

The first thing she does after waking up is renovate the kitchen.

After that, the servants see the mistress munching on meat-stuffed flatbread as she lazily basks in the sun one moment, and organizing a game of cuju for the maids the next, with chestnuts roasted in sugar that she made herself as the prize.

The steward laments, "Whatever happened to acting like the mistress of the household?"

The maid says, "Hurry, the madam's making more delicious food! There's plenty for everyone."

The steward says, "...Wait for me."

When the prince returns with his delicate white lotus, he freezes at the sight of the steward's face.

He'd been gone for less than half a month, so how had the steward's face gotten as round as a giant pancake?

P.S. The male lead is devoted to her.
