Information on a certain unknown Saniwa:
There are lots of things they like, though there are things they dislike, too.
Quick-witted, but usually too lazy to do anything.
Very weak, and in poor health. Don't expect anything from them in terms of fighting ability.
Their spiritual power is exceptionally strong, among the very best (nods). Maybe that's their only good quality, along with their face...?
Their personality is awful, and their values are warped.
All in all, in a few years they'll probably become a textbook scumbag.
A "trash saniwa" in the broadest sense.
Even so, they might still be taught properly while young and guided onto the right path.
That is, as long as the seemingly harmless, childlike body at this stage isn't carrying the soul of someone who came here from the future...
That's right. You heard correctly.
A certain "scumbag" Saniwa from the future, who accidentally died in a corrupted citadel in their previous life.
Currently seven years old.
Having a grand old time on their second playthrough! ☆
"You've been abandoned."
"So have I."
"But that doesn't mean I have to be so pathetic as to treat a bunch of things that aren't even human as my companions."
"Sure, people chat with pots and pans when they're bored, but that doesn't mean they call those things family~"
"So there is no pointless option called [Building Bonds]."
The Saniwa always speaks in the light, innocent tone of a child, cheerfully uttering one cruel thing after another. It seems they have never really understood how to live.
...Words are a sharp double-edged blade. When they hurt others, they hurt the speaker, too. The cycle goes on, and they gradually become covered in scars.
But if we can meet again, if we can start over once more, then...
First, shut that obnoxious mouth of yours, you world's most unlovable little bastard, Ruki!!

1.
An atypical sword story centered on a Saniwa.
Before the story begins, the Saniwa has done things that fit the broad definition of a "trash saniwa" (most of which resemble the trash saniwa characters often seen as background figures in sword stories). They treat the entire world as a game and regard the swords as NPCs or collectible pets, making it hard for them to empathize with the sword spirits. On top of that, they have a terrible personality and are very rude.
They never do anything truly malicious, like deliberately breaking swords or overusing them, because they want to conserve resources!! They're basically just cold and flippant, like a player!!!
2.
The corrupted swords had already fallen into corruption before the Saniwa took them in. Although they were hurt by the Saniwa who took over their care (mostly emotionally), they will eventually forgive them, and even come to hope that the Saniwa will live up to their potential (?).
In a sense, this is an accident in which the corrupted swords save the Saniwa, so don't expect too much.
P.S. At their core, the Saniwa is arrogant, has warped values, is unhinged and self-centered, and is a sickly brat you'd really want to smack. They lose the ability to speak for part of the story. If this makes you uncomfortable, yell at the Saniwa, not me (hiding my head).
P.S. Heavy OOC, elementary-school-level writing, lots of personal worldbuilding, updates whenever, short chapters, and updates when people comment. It's kind of a silly story, I guess? It has a happy ending.
Theme: Salvation
I would like to point out that each chapter of this article is quite short and is basically updated in the form of a joke, so don't expect too much.
