I Write Novels in Republican-Era China

“From today on, I have no son! And you have no older brother!”

That was the first thing Zhou Cangzhu heard after recovering her memories from her previous life.

She recalled the problems she was facing:

A bankrupt family.

A father who died young.

A mother with no skills to earn a living.

An older sister who had dropped out of school and was about to become a dance-hall girl.

An older brother who got hooked on opium, gambled away the family fortune, and ran off.

Fortunately, her mother in this life was clearheaded and moved out with her two daughters in the middle of the night.

But with no money, the three of them still faced a huge problem.

With the family about to run out of rice, Zhou Cangzhu returned to her old trade from her previous life: writing novels!

From melodramatic, cutthroat romances in wealthy households, to supernatural tales of underdogs cultivating immortality, to transmigration and rebirth, and stories from every era and corner of the world…

From a disreputable third-rate tabloid to bestselling books, movie adaptations, and finally a worldwide phenomenon…
