Consort De (Qing Dynasty Transmigration)

[Completed]

Wu Ya transmigrates into the Qing Dynasty harem and becomes Uya, a palace woman.

Her status is awkward, and she must survive in the cracks between consorts and maids.

She's a palace maid who can just barely be summoned to the emperor's bed.

Her family background is even less respectable. Her grandfather is merely a steward in the imperial kitchen.

Her father is an insignificant fifth-rank, third-class palace guard.

For three years after entering the palace, she has to perform menial tasks every day, like serving tea and water.

A mere palace woman, she's only fit to be a plaything for keeping the emperor's favor.

In Consort Tong's eyes, she's no threat at all.

Uya's status is lowly; she's just a cook's granddaughter.

Her family background is even less respectable than that of a Han Bannerman bondservant.

What's more, Uya has a face so alluring that she seems destined to lose the emperor's favor.

Any woman in the Forbidden City might win the emperor's favor, except Uya. She has no chance.

Until one day, for some reason, Emperor Kangxi takes a liking to her.

And once he does, he is infatuated with her for many years...

But he never makes her empress, and everyone gossips about it.

Unexpectedly, Emperor Kangxi personally writes an edict of self-reproach for her.

The edict reads...
