True to My Original Aspiration

Blurb

Ye Chuwan is the only child in her family. To keep her uncles from taking the family fortune someday, she found herself a live-in son-in-law in advance.

He came from an ordinary background and was handsome and refined. Aside from being a little aloof, he was quite obedient.

Six months later, as they were discussing their wedding, Li Jingxun said he had to go out and would be back within ten days.

Ye Chuwan waited through three ten-day periods, but he vanished without a trace and never sent word.

Later, Ye Chuwan traveled to the capital with a merchant caravan, just as the Marquis of Loyalty and Valor was parading prisoners through the streets.

The man at the head of the group was incomparably handsome, and looked exactly like the live-in son-in-law she had found.

The only difference was that his eyes held nothing but unfamiliarity when he looked at her.

Only later did Ye Chuwan learn that during those ten days, he had suffered a head injury and lost a year's worth of memories.

She showed him their marriage contract and the letters they had exchanged, and finally won Li Jingxun's trust. He brought her to the marquis's residence.

She had thought that with their marriage contract as proof, Li Jingxun would marry her as planned.

But he often fell into doubt.

"Did I really like you before?"

"Why would I like a woman like you?"

"Are you sure you didn't threaten me into writing that marriage contract?"

Ye Chuwan grew so tired of his questions that she packed her things and decided they were better off apart.

On the day she left, someone chased her for fifteen kilometers before catching up.

He looked rather bashful. "I... I like you! Wanyan, could you please not leave?"

Years later, Li Jingxun's mind was damaged by a drug, and he forgot Ye Chuwan once again.

Taking the opportunity, Ye Chuwan packed her bags and went out to enjoy herself, planning to keep a few handsome male companions for her amusement.

Who knew that not long after leaving the marquis's residence, she would run straight into Li Jingxun?

His unfamiliar gaze was filled with undisguised delight. "Miss, have we met somewhere before? I don't know why, but the moment I saw you, I felt happy..."

Ye Chuwan: Here we go again. -_-#

No matter how many times I lose my memories, when we meet again, I will still fall in love with you., Li Jingxun
