As the most powerful senior sister of the Tianxuan Sect, Zhu Ying has always been showered with praise. She is even hailed as the most powerful female disciple in the cultivation world, and everyone believes she will ascend to immortality within a couple of years.
But a hundred years passed, and she still hadn’t ascended.
Two hundred years passed, and she still hadn’t ascended.
Three hundred years...
Her fellow disciples, and even the younger generation, all ascended before her. She remained a powerful cultivator who just couldn’t ascend.
Damn it!
Why am I the only one who can’t ascend? T^T
Her junior brothers and sisters sent her a message from the heavens: Senior Sister, you have a tribulation of love in your fate. You can only ascend once you overcome it.
Oh, and your destined love is named Sang Ze.
Got it! I’ll go find him right away!
*
After searching far and wide, Zhu Ying finally found the one named Sang Ze... a baby.
?
Did finding your destined love mean raising a child these days?
Whatever. I can do it if it means ascending.
Zhu Ying took the baby in and raised him as her child groom. She ignored the shock and disdain of society and brought him up until he reached adulthood.
Just as she was getting ready to devour him, her junior brothers and sisters sent another message: Senior Sister, you’ve got the wrong person! This isn’t your destined love!
The wrong person? What am I supposed to do now?
Zhu Ying looked at the young man she had raised into a fine, upstanding person. After a moment’s hesitation, she turned and went to find the other Sang Ze destined for her.
*
They say that from that day on, the child groom of the Tianxuan Sect’s senior sister went mad. He became a demon overnight and frantically slaughtered every cultivator named “Sang Ze,” even those whose names were pronounced the same but written differently.
Later, he blocked Zhu Ying’s path with a sword in hand. “I’m the only Sang Ze left in the world. I’m the only one who can be your destined love.”
Zhu Ying was so furious she could cry. “Destined love, my foot! If you kill every Sang Ze, how am I supposed to overcome my tribulation of love and ascend?”
Sang Ze, now a great demon lord, fell into thought. “How about you make do with me?”
Looks like that’s the only option.
*
On the day Zhu Ying successfully ascended, she wept with joy. When her junior brothers and sisters asked how she had overcome her tribulation of love, she said:
“Oh, it was ridiculously easy! I took the initiative and kissed him on our wedding night, and ascended right then and there.”
Everyone was stunned. “What about him?”
“Who knows? Oh, never mind him...”
As soon as she finished speaking, everyone saw someone slowly approaching from behind her. His face was dark with suppressed anger, as if he had come to collect a debt.
“Zhu Ying! You lied to me again! You said you’d come back for me after you ascended!”
*
The Demon Lord Sang Ze failed his tribulation and turned into a baby, with no magic left.
That day, a famous senior sister of the cultivation world found him and took him home, announcing that he would be her child groom.
Sang Ze scoffed: In your dreams!
Later, he began hoping he would grow up soon so he could fulfill his duties as her child groom.
After waiting so long for that day, she actually told him with an apologetic look that she had the wrong person and had to go find the “Sang Ze” destined for her.
?
No way!
He was the only “Sang Ze” destined to be with her!
Reading Guide:
A senior sister who only wants to ascend vs. a great demon lord who acts disdainful but eventually falls hard
The female lead won’t be put through angst; only the male lead suffers. The female lead’s romantic feelings develop slowly, and she falls in love late.
It’s probably a silly comedy.
P.S. Since many readers dislike the male lead killing people who share his name, let me make this clear: he doesn’t actually kill them! He really doesn’t! I promise!
Also, a heads-up: this is a slow-burn story. If you like fast-paced wish-fulfillment stories, feel free to drop it.
The female lead isn’t clever and has low emotional intelligence. If you like quick-witted female leads, feel free to drop it too.
If you discover any other deal-breakers while reading, please stop reading right away. There’s no need to attack me in the comments, friends. I’m sensitive, and I might delete comments at any time!
Especially if you haven’t subscribed and have only read the free chapters: if you don’t like it, just stop reading. No need to waste your time! If you have subscribed, you can leave a comment asking for a refund too. No hard feelings, and let’s part on good terms!
I know I’m not skilled enough yet to write a masterpiece, so I don’t expect everyone to support me. The greatest comfort you can give me is simply not attacking me. Thank you!

Sweethearts get no happy endings.
But...
If I’m sweet enough, they can’t hurt me.
As a Celestial Maiden tasked with maintaining peace among the Six Realms, my main duty is to prevent conflict and choose a king to continue the royal bloodline.
But when I make the first move:
The Immortal Realm’s Venerable Zhanghua ignores me.
The Demon Realm’s Lord Yue Ying glares at me.
The Demon Realm’s Demon King Run Feng mocks me with a sneer.
The Ghost Realm’s King of Hell Yuan Qian shoos me away.
The Human Realm’s ruler Fu Ze pays me lip service.
All right, sweethearts really do get no happy endings.
Fortunately, I have a backup plan.
They don’t know that there’s only one person in the Six Realms I’ve never tried to charm: the Divine Venerable of the God Realm.
It’s not that I don’t want to. I don’t dare.
Because sweethearts get no happy endings.
So I’ll make him come to me instead.
A little closer, and then a little closer... Hey, it worked! (Thumbs up.jpg)
*
At first, when the Divine Venerable Rong Xi learned that the Celestial Maiden would choose a husband from among the rulers of the Six Realms, he laughed softly. “It doesn’t matter. It certainly won’t be me.”
Later, the Celestial Maiden reached out to the rulers of the other five realms, leaving him out.
Rong Xi wondered, “Why didn’t she come to me?”
Later still, even after all five realms rejected her, she still didn’t ask him.
Rong Xi grew angry. “What’s wrong with me?”
Until one day, he overheard her chatting with someone.
“Oh, it’s not that there’s anything wrong with him. It’s just that he always seems so ascetic and desireless. I’m afraid he might not be up to it...”
Later, Rong Xi let her find out firsthand just how up to it he was.
*
On the day the Celestial Maiden and Divine Venerable married, people from all Six Realms came to celebrate.
Everyone saw the Celestial Maiden, with her fair skin and stunning beauty, standing gracefully beside the Divine Venerable. They were a perfect match, and the praises poured in.
Only the other five rulers stared at the couple, gritting their teeth so hard they nearly shattered them...
Damn it! We regret it so much!
If only we hadn’t put on an act from the start.
Reading Guide:
The setting is highly personalized. Please don’t complain.
The female lead is disliked by everyone at first, then becomes universally adored.
It’s basically a story about a bunch of arrogant posers regretting it and falling hard.
Theme: Learn to understand and respect one another.
Happy Lantern Festival!
Why hasn't it been updated yet?

Unlike the leader, she is just a senior sister
This leader seems to be a little frustrated. He is always being picked on by other elders.
Come on! Come and take a look every day
I bought the article because I read the comment section, but don't you think your writing is dry? It's almost like keeping a running account. You make me regret it a bit.
I really like this kind of heroine
