She later learned that he was from the Shao family, a top-tier clan whose members were untouchable in both Beijing and Hong Kong.

This man, so untouchable and composed in all things, rarely lost control. He lowered his eyes and said, "Tongtong, come back to me."

It was only on Hong Kong Island that Chu Tong understood that the gentleness and restraint he'd shown over those two years had been an illusion. His true nature was to pin her in his arms and take from her without end.
