Later, Hua Yuan learns that Lan Chi is the head of the zombie research center, the one rumored to dissect zombies without blinking.

Since running away won't work, Hua Yuan decides to relentlessly pester Lan Chi until he kicks him out!

He constantly flirts with him, asking if he wants to date a sweet little Omega, calling him "Big Brother" in a soft, sweet voice.

Lan Chi holds up the blood bag Hua Yuan just threw away. His voice is icy, and he wears a faintly mocking smile. "You like drinking blood? Drink another bag for me. Then we'll date."

"Is that a fair deal, little zombie?"

The first time Lan Chi saw Hua Yuan, he caught him baring his fangs at Lan Chi's neck.

From that moment, suspicion took root in his heart.

He uses the pretense of dating to keep a close eye on the little zombie. "If he hurts anyone, I'll kill him," Lan Chi thinks.

He never finds any proof, but one day he sees Hua Yuan say to an S-rank Alpha, "Big Brother, could you give me a hug? My heat is making me feel uncomfortable."

An unfamiliar bitterness rises in Lan Chi's heart. He doesn't know what's wrong with him, but before he can think, he's already gripping Hua Yuan's wrist and pulling him away.

His heart full of irritation, he pins Hua Yuan in a corner. "How many big brothers do you have, anyway?"

[News report: A male university student went missing while traveling in Baishan Village. Local police launched a full-scale search, but found no trace of him after 72 hours. He is feared dead.]

Yin Yue had only gone on a graduation trip to a village in the southwestern mountains.

That night, Yin Yue and his classmates went out to watch a lunar eclipse.

As the moon reached opposition and the full moon was swallowed up, a thick fog rolled in. Every single classmate beside Yin Yue vanished.

Desperately searching for the rest of the group, Yin Yue suddenly spotted a tall young Miao man standing among the trees.

Pale moonlight fell on his shoulders as it reappeared. The totem at his collar glimmered with an eerie silver light, while his tall topknot disappeared into the darkness, leaving his face obscured.

"I think I've gotten lost. Do you know where Baishan Village is?" Yin Yue asked.

The young man's expression flickered with surprise, but he quickly hid it and nodded.

The young Miao man, Yue Nanshi, led Yin Yue back to Baishan Village. Yin Yue never saw his missing classmates, but the villagers welcomed him warmly.

Yin Yue had a bit of a cold. After drinking a bowl of bitter medicine the villagers gave him, he suddenly found himself standing at the foot of a mountain, dressed in a bright red robe.

Red candle flames stretched from the base of the mountain all the way to its peak. An elderly white-haired woman said, "Go on, child."

As if in a trance, Yin Yue did as she said and started up the mountain.

At the summit, Yin Yue found Yue Nanshi.

Yue Nanshi was dressed in red too, his face painted with beautiful designs. Silver totems at his collar and cuffs glowed brighter than the moonlight.

"Give me your hand." A voice as ethereal as the moon rang out, and Yin Yue saw Yue Nanshi reach out to him.

It wasn't until the next day, when Yin Yue woke up in a red bed with a huge "double happiness" character pasted above it, that he finally realized what had happened: He'd gotten married?!

After the shock wore off, he kicked the sleeping Yue Nanshi beside him. "Wake up! We were forced into an arranged marriage!"

Yue Nanshi lazily rolled over, his dark eyes fixed on him. "What's wrong with marrying me?"

Being a husband to the village head was great. Everyone respected him, but...

"Didn't we agree you were just pretending? Why did you kiss me just now?"

Yue Nanshi smiled casually. "I wanted you to think about being my boyfriend for real."
