Revisions are in progress. I'll post the bonus chapters once I'm done. Thanks to all the angel readers who've been following along! (You can ignore the updates.)
[The Male Lead Takes His Place]
In the third year of Fang Tianyun's relationship with her boyfriend, an admirer appeared in her life.
He was a capitalist often featured in the news, known for his ruthless methods and cold demeanor, and owner of half the assets in Ninghai: Nie Zhan.
At first, Fang Tianyun was wary of him. She wouldn't even meet his eyes, let alone speak to him.
Later, she learned that he and her boyfriend had been classmates years ago. When they met again, that gave her an even better excuse to keep her distance.
One day, the animal rescue center received an enormous donation. The donor was Nie Zhan. To thank him, Fang Tianyun bought several boxes of canned cat food and went to visit him.
His tall figure loomed in the backlight, radiating an intimidating presence. She couldn't make out his expression, but his voice was gentle. "Now that you know where I live, the next time you argue with him, don't sit foolishly in the park getting soaked in the rain."
Fang Tianyun kept her distance. "This isn't really appropriate. You know that I'm..."
"I said you could come here to get out of the rain and have somewhere safe to stay. What are you getting the wrong idea about?"
"...Huh?"
"Miss Fang, I'm a gentleman." He emphasized the words. "I don't steal my friends' girlfriends."
Faced with Nie Zhan's blunt honesty, she finally let down her guard.
But from the moment she asked him for help and moved into his home, she had the same dream every night.
In the dream, someone kissed her until she was completely dazed, then gazed at her watery eyes in the moonlight and praised her. "Yunyun, you're so beautiful."
● A 30% advance chapter lock is in effect during serialization.
[Important Content Warnings]
● The heroine has prior sexual experience; the hero has none.
● The heroine and the second male lead are each other's first love. They are both sexually inexperienced, but have sex as adults and break up for ordinary reasons. After the breakup, she gets together with the male lead, who is sexually inexperienced.
● The male lead and second male lead are both physically and emotionally faithful, and love the heroine unconditionally. But when a better choice comes along, of course our girl deserves the best.
● The second male lead does not cheat and doesn't get another partner besides the heroine.
● The male lead is no saint, but he doesn't interfere in their relationship or use underhanded means.
● Before the breakup, the second male lead gets a lot of page time, while the male lead is less prominent.
● The characters' values aren't the author's. This story was inspired by personal preferences.
● There will be melodrama! The heroine grows over time! If you hold characters to impossibly high moral standards, scrutinize the heroine's actions under a microscope, or have any other dealbreakers, don't force yourself to read. There are thousands of great books out there. If this isn't for you, just move on.
Please don't attack me personally. If you drop the book, there's no need to tell me! Thank you!
[Inspired by a lovely young woman I saw on June 8 waiting for a bus at a stop. She carried an umbrella and had a beautiful air about her, her long skirt fluttering. She looked just like a novel's heroine.]
Kind-hearted, beautiful founder of an animal rescue center x ruthless capitalist with a fearsome reputation who only pretends to be benevolent

Theme: Move forward with heart
I really couldn't get in yesterday 💔
It feels like drunkenness is used to advance the plot every time.
Self-righteous meeting man
So what is our relationship now (Serious Dragon Picture. JPG)
Is it still hairy when turned outside? Big (??ω`? )
What's going on? Not updated yet
The content feels a bit empty (nothing malicious, it just feels weird)
I feel that the heroine's emotional changes are illogical. Because she broke up with the male protagonist because of 30 billion, will she be able to rely on the male protagonist with peace of mind? And speaking of relying on oneself, in the end it was the male protagonist who became the protector every time. It felt like the disasters the female protagonist encountered were all written to advance the plot. Why is it that the heroine gets hurt every time... The heroine makes herself sad emotionally because of her moral values, and physically because she is sexually harassed and kidnapped by this enemy or that celebrity...
This is the most humble male protagonist I have ever seen. I'm sure Nie is always going to be funny in this chapter.
Happy Mid-Autumn Festival!
