An independent, sweet-natured comic artist × a refined, scholarly psychology professor
Duan Yisheng comes from an illustrious family, graduated from a prestigious university, and is widely read. Though still young, he's already well known in psychology and has become the ideal husband in the eyes of wealthy heiresses.
At a dinner after returning to China, he stared at the dimpled beauty sitting beside him, unable to look away.
A friend who knew his character teased him: "Professor Duan, don't tell me you fell for that beauty at first sight?"
"No. She just looks a little familiar."
To find inspiration for her new work, Shi Yang used a friend's connections to sit in on a psychology lecture at a university.
Afterward, Duan Yi stopped beside her and handed her a business card. "Some parts of today's lecture were difficult. Feel free to come ask me questions anytime."
Shi Yang asked timidly, "Is it expensive?"
Duan Yi said, "We're neighbors. I can give you a discount."
Bonus Scene:
Duan Yi, usually so refined and conservative, suddenly changed his style of dress.
A blue-and-white striped shirt with strawberries printed on the chest, two buttons undone, sleeves rolled up to his elbows, the tendons in his arms faintly visible, and tousled brown hair falling over his eyebrows. His disheveled yet orderly, refined-and-abstinent scoundrel look left the students in the audience staring slack-jawed.
After a student finished answering an academic question, Duan Yi blurted out:
"That's not how it works, baby... Ahem." His gentle tone immediately shifted. "The 'bridge effect' does exist in real life."
The students: ??? Professor Duan didn't seem to teach it that way during the first half of the semester.
Just then, an observant student pointed at the barely visible spot at Professor Duan's collar.
"Is she the young woman who came to your lecture last year?"
