The little girl was always making food for him. She'd even hurt her hands sewing him a sachet. Her favorite thing was to follow him around and ask in a soft voice if he thought she was pretty.

Shen Yanhe admitted it: he had fallen for her.

It wasn't until the day the beautiful Cheng Huaiying shyly took his younger half-brother's hand and bowed before the heavens and earth that Shen Yanhe finally understood. The little girl loved his younger brother, and her affection had simply extended to him.
