The Childhood Friend Falls Short

The bottom had been with his childhood friend for fifteen years.

Until one day, he accidentally discovered a hidden room in his childhood friend's house.

The walls were covered in photos, and the workbench was buried under scattered design sketches.

The bottom picked one up. It was covered in tiny writing.

"The pen he lost today was actually picked up by me. I don't want to give it back. Little Shen is so silly, he probably won't notice. I've never even held his hand, so what has this pen done to deserve it..."

.

The bottom was engrossed in reading when a shadow suddenly fell over him from behind, and the note was deftly taken from his hand.

A soft whisper sounded by his ear: "I'm so sorry you saw that."

The bottom was furious.

"You scheming dog!" He glared at his childhood friend. "You can't compete with me academically, so now you're competing in character, huh? Keeping up with the trends behind my back? Disgusting!"

Childhood friend: ...?
