I'm planning to cross over into a bunch of sports anime and make a big crossover stew.
Momotani Mayo is beautiful, tall, and outstanding in her studies, family background, and popularity. She's the envy of everyone and a star in her own right. But only Momotani Mayo knows that this world is just one of many maps in a dating game, and she's nothing but an NPC on this route, a romantic wingwoman there to help the player clear the game.
But Momotani Mayo is perfectly happy to be an NPC. She has plenty to eat and wear, no overtime or working late. A comfortable life like this is hard to come by. Besides, every character in the game is beautifully illustrated. For a girl who loves pretty faces like Momotani Mayo, it's paradise. What's not to like?
What's more, the game gives this NPC, Momotani Mayo, a great deal of freedom. As long as her actions don't affect the main plot, she can do whatever she wants, almost to the point of being completely unrestricted.
So, after testing the waters and getting used to things, she, Momotani Mayo, gradually began to let loose and went further and further down the road of acting out of character.
But the good times didn't last. A problem came crashing down from above and jolted the increasingly absorbed Momotani Mayo awake.
Since the game launched, only a handful of players had successfully completed their routes, and the number of people joining the game was rapidly declining. Despite its polished visuals and interesting story, without support from the general gaming public, the game seemed destined to be taken offline.
Momotani Mayo: Am I going to lose my job? Where else can I find such a great gig? It's not easy being a wage slave...
After investigating, the data team discovered that Momotani Mayo's series of out-of-character actions had disrupted the game's System. So Momotani Mayo decided to behave herself, follow the plot carefully, and become a complete plot device in the hopes of keeping her secure job.
But Momotani Mayo discovered that when she stopped acting out of character, everyone around her started doing it instead.
The pure and adorable bunny-like heroine suddenly began showing off her tea-drinking skills, clinging to Momotani Mayo and refusing to let go. "Mayo-chan, you can only like me, okay?"
The male leads' personalities also began to fall apart.
The aloof ice prince turned into a clingy puppy, and the enthusiastic younger guy became even more forward... Each of them was out of character in their own way.
That would have been fine, except the male leads weren't acting out of character for the heroine. They were doing it for her, an NPC! What was that supposed to mean???
#The NPC just wants to work in peace until retirement, not fall in love
#Outside the story, we fall in love
Theme: Love is something we work toward together
