The NPC Just Wants to Lie Flat [Infinite Flow]

[P.S. The heroine’s name doesn’t mean I dislike her. I love her deeply. The cover was specially commissioned and is one of a kind. There’s a reason she’s called Qiqi!]

The Wuwang World is a vast hunting ground for ghosts and monsters. Jiang Qiqi is a weak, helpless, socially anxious jellyfish. Too weak to hunt, she can only scrape by on the meager income she earns selling trashy melodramatic erotica.

One day, her editor tells her that her erotic story has been selected by a world to become a game level, and invites her to experience it and offer suggestions for revisions. Food and lodging are covered. Jiang Qiqi is tempted, packs up all her belongings, and heads off on a company-funded vacation.

On the first day in the game, the world issues a mission: [You must play as a player and help them win.]

[Player side mission: Find the NPC impostor hiding among you.]

Jiang Qiqi looks at her glaringly out-of-place tentacles and hair color, then at the NPCs around her, who are dressed much like her, and slowly types a question mark.

...Wait, the world isn’t going to give her some kind of disguise? Orz.

She might as well have “impostor” written on her face.

Human players: Let’s all share our real-world home addresses.

Jiang Qiqi: Huh?

In the Dark Night Castle, Jiang Qiqi becomes an NPC again, but

[You are the duke and duchess’s most beloved daughter, but you are about to kill them for their title.]

[Special ability: Randomly send one player to meet their ancestors each day.]

[Player mission: Expose your true nature in front of the duke and kill you.]

Jiang Qiqi: Why does “meet your ancestors” mean that literally?

Player: I think I saw my great-grandma last night??

Reader’s guide:

1. My take on an infinite-flow story, with a bit of cosmic horror. Amateurish writing, and don’t expect logic.

2. The protagonist’s nonhuman original form is a jellyfish. She’s naturally scheming and naturally airheaded.

3. The CP is together from the start. The tentacle girl is taken. She spends only a short time in human form at the beginning. This is a spoiler, so avoid it if you don’t want to know.

4. Screenshots of this story were taken on June 1, 2023.

5. There are many male characters, but most are cannon fodder! There are cannon-fodder characters of both genders! Please take note if that’s a dealbreaker!
