But That Really Is So Pretty

When she received an invitation from the government, Qingben Xuezhi had planned to turn it down. Being a sorcerer was exhausting enough. She had no time to moonlight as a Saniwa.

Until she saw Yamanbagiri's portrait.

Blond hair, blue eyes, and a face both refined and noble. In spite of his incredible combat prowess, he wore a white cloth over himself, looking gloomy and pursing his lips in self-doubt.

She fell for him in an instant.

And the government representative kept whispering temptations: "Sign up, and we'll give you Yamanbagiri." Of course, whether or not they gave her Yamanbagiri wasn't the point. She was simply passionate about becoming a Saniwa.

Qingben Xuezhi signed the contract on the spot.

Only after starting the job did she discover that the sword warriors despised Saniwa who lusted after their looks and had improper intentions.

Saniwa who got involved in workplace romances would be punished!

Her love story... was over before it even began.

Yamanbagiri, who was already emo, had been feeling even more emo lately.

The good news: His Saniwa was responsible. She took good care of every sword, was fair, and maintained impeccable boundaries. Everything about her said, "We're comrades, and I absolutely won't get involved in a workplace romance."

The bad news: He liked his Saniwa.

How could a Saniwa ever like an imitation...?

Wouldn't she hate me if I let my imagination run wild...?

Was she just being polite when she called me beautiful...?

Yamanbagiri leveled up while feeling emo.

He went off to train while feeling emo. When he returned, he was much more confident and worked up the courage to say things like, "I am your sword" and "I am a masterpiece created for you."

The Saniwa couldn't keep a straight face.

The Saniwa crushed the corner of the table.

...This is bad. I must have totally weirded her out.
