Maple Branches Fall in Late Summer

Feng Ling, a hardcore admirer of good looks, falls in love at first sight with a guy and decides to fast-forward their relationship from strangers.

Including, but not limited to:

Peeking at Yang Zhuo in class, peeking at Yang Zhuo in the restroom, peeking at Yang Zhuo while he eats...

Yang Zhuo, the one being watched, finally can't take it anymore and asks seriously, "Classmate, do I owe you money?"

Feng Ling doesn't hear a word of Yang Zhuo's question. Her mind is filled with excited commentary: "Aaaah, my dream guy looked at me! That means he basically already loves me! If I try a little harder, he'll be my boyfriend!"

The girl trembles all over, seemingly having a seizure. Yang Zhuo looks grave and puts a hand on the school uniform sleeve at her wrist. "Don't be scared, classmate. I'll take you to the infirmary."

"Classmate, want to date? I'm super sweet!" At the same time, Feng Ling's confession rings out loud and clear.

Five minutes later, the dream guy and his soon-to-be super-sweet girlfriend are both standing in the academic affairs office, facing disciplinary action.

Half a month later, Yang Zhuo posts a question online in the middle of the night: "How do I politely turn down an ardent admirer? She's a cute girl."

Feng Ling, who secretly keeps tabs on her dream guy's social media, instantly gets into character and replies earnestly: "If she's that cute, why not just give in?"

Every second of waiting for his reply feels like torture. At last, 251 minutes later, he responds with one word: "Okay."

Feng Ling leaps for joy and stays up all night getting ready, waiting for her dream guy to be hers tomorrow.

If it weren't for the dorm curfew, she'd go confess to him again right now.

The next day, before Feng Ling can make her declaration of love, her dream guy's questions come raining down on her.

"You want to date because you're super sweet, huh? Are you even an adult yet? I'm planning to date someone from my university once I get there. Why don't you get into college first?"

The top slacker's head spins as she tries to argue her case: "Maybe someone who's not too smart is even sweeter?"
