Lu He has no memories.
To be precise, he once entered an endless game, and after clearing it, lost all his memories.
To recover what he'd lost, he chose to clear the game once again.
But after clearing it this time, he was kicked out of the game and sent to a new world.
Lu He thought he was destined to live the rest of his life without his memories.
Then one day, the new world suddenly changed. The paranormal returned, ghosts roamed the night, and the entire world was divided into multiple dimensions. The game became one giant livestream.
Each new version brings a new god.
After the paranormal events began, many organizations sprang up to clear the game and guide newcomers.
The familiar red doll appeared at Lu He's doorstep again. Looking at it, Lu He thought, Last time, I went through dozens of instances without finding my memories. Maybe I'll find them this time. Then, in a flash, he was inside the game.
But as soon as Lu He entered the game, the monsters in some instances began trembling and crying, "Why is he back again!!!"
Some instance bosses who had never been put through the wringer by Lu He said, "What's there to be afraid of? We've upgraded this time. We'll make sure he never gets out!!!"
The old instance bosses shook their heads and sighed. "They're still too young."
Then they started filing applications. "I request a transfer!!!"
A being beyond description, having tasted the sweetness of wonderful memories, awoke and followed the owner of those memories into the game.
The game's Bosses and NPCs were shaken once more, because they knew that this indescribable being loved to kill indiscriminately.
Until one day, they realized that this indescribable being was always following Lu He.
NPCs + Bosses: "Lu He's done for this time."
They got ready to enjoy the show.
Everyone thought Lu He was sure to fail this time. But then one of the current Bosses said, "Unbelievable."
The NPCs and Bosses watching the show asked, "What happened?"
A current Boss pointed at the shapeshifted form of the indescribable being following behind Lu He. It was practically begging for affection, tail wagging.
All the NPCs and Bosses: "...What is it doing?"
The current Boss: "It says it's Lu He's dog."
