The Heartbinding Gu

When his younger cousin was assaulted, Yin Jiamou brought men to storm the Xi family estate.

Orphaned and dependent on her brother, Lan Yang still knelt before Yin Jiamou and begged him to spare her brother's life, even though she knew her brother had done wrong.

A hand with long, slender fingers lifted her chin.

Yin Jiamou smiled. "Easy for you to say. How does it feel to have your younger sister assaulted? Why don't we let your brother find out?"

At first, Lan Yang was a toy Yin Jiamou had taken for his amusement.

Later, she became the weakness he couldn't bear to lose.

Then, after Lan Yang's brother was cleared of the false charges, she packed her things and prepared to leave the estate to marry the fiance who had waited for her for years.

Yin Jiamou was suddenly jolted awake from his beautiful dream of a life together.

He tried everything: threats, bribes, and, in the end, even kneeling and begging. But nothing could make Lan Yang look back at him.

She pried Yin Jiamou's fingers from her skirt one by one and said gently, "How does it feel to be hated? Lan Yang would like to let Second Master find out."

I wanted to let a delicate little sister enjoy a satisfying triumph. The blurb is the story in a nutshell: at first, a nasty brute bullies an honest girl; later, a country girl sends the young master to the crematorium. No angst, and it gets a happy ending.

Theme: Don't abuse your power to bully others.
