A Summer Love Letter

Dipping June into ice water

Your thoughts are a window left ajar

My melody is like a flock of birds beating their wings

Carrying the blaze of ten thousand summers

To your window

[An insecure, avoidant study machine x a persistent young master]

In the winter of the second year after leaving without a word, Zhan Xia met He Sui at a party.

His striking features were as bold as ever. Proud and free, he was the young master adored by everyone in the crowd. Meanwhile, she had become the maid of the Wen family's eldest daughter, at Wen Rongrong's beck and call, doing her homework for her... She could only stay awake on coffee, with dark circles under her eyes as deep as a ghost's.

In the dim light, He Sui asked bitterly why she had left him back then.

Zhan Xia said nothing, only murmuring, "I'm sorry."

The next day, she heard that Wen Rongrong and He Sui were romantically involved.

That night, a heavy snowstorm swept the outskirts of the city, and for the first time ever, she got several problems wrong.

On the fifth day, Wen Rongrong once again teamed up with her pack of friends to humiliate and mock Zhan Xia in public. She messily scraped the cream off her head and glanced around. The young lady was gloating, while He Sui sat to the side, lazily watching the spectacle unfold.

When Zhan Xia looked at him, the boy smiled at her, innocent and cruel.

Her pent-up emotions finally erupted. Zhan Xia swapped the coffee in her cup for hard liquor and, for the first time, took matters into her own hands, disappearing from the young lady's world for a night.

On the sixth day, she woke from her hangover.

Morning sunlight filled the room. The person beside her held her close, facing her, and spoke in a voice still tinged with laughter. "Good morning."

When Zhan Xia saw his face, she froze. Her ears began to ring.

I'm done for.

Did I... sleep with the young lady's man?

Hello, everyone! I'm here to serve up a little modern romance. This is a sudden short-to-medium-length story, around a hundred thousand characters. It's not really NTR, and it doesn't violate public morals and social norms. You can make fun of the author, but please don't argue in the comments. Sending everyone love, yay!
