Become an Idol to Save the World

As the first audition show after the return of talent competitions, Become an Idol drew everyone's attention from the moment it started selecting contestants.

The moment Lin Liangyue appeared on the livestream, one trainee couldn't help exclaiming, "What a delicate, heartbreakingly beautiful girl. Just standing there, she looks like she might shatter..."

Before the others who heard her could nod in agreement, Lin Liangyue picked up the microphone and spoke first. "Waiting around is a little boring, but I really ain't asleep!"

The moment her thick northeastern accent came out, everyone there except her had their hearts broken.

The production team asked during her interview, "What made you decide to join our show?"

Lin Liangyue answered without missing a beat. "To save the world, of course! So I'm going to debut as the center and become an idol. Oh, and if you want the world to end, you don't have to vote for me."

"Let's all do our part to bring about the end of the world!!!"

Netizens had this to say:

[Why is she getting so fired up about this...]

[I'm sorry for betraying the cause, but the way she said that really made me laugh.]

Who didn't dream of saving the world and becoming a great hero as a teenager? Lin Liangyue was no exception.

But she never expected that her teenage fantasy would land on the shoulders of twenty-five-year-old Lin Liangyue, who had already gone through five jobs and finally decided to lie flat at home and try being a beauty streamer.

Her mission was: Save the world by debuting as an idol in the center position!

Lin Liangyue: Come on, I'm not fifteen or fifty-five. I'm twenty-five, the most useless age in a person's life.

She gets winded just sprinting fifty meters to catch a bus. Now she's supposed to compete in an audition show and debut as the center?

After closing and opening her eyes, she found herself dropped straight into the filming location and decided to give up trying.

Lin Liangyue thought her laid-back attitude would make fans hate her. Who could have guessed that, after the show aired, she would be trending nonstop?

From #CoolAndFragileBeauty to #LinLiangyueShutUp to #LinLiangyueIs25WithTheBodyOfA90YearOld.

There were plenty of topics about Lin Liangyue, but #LinLiangyueShutUp was the one that kept coming back to the trending list.

Just when she thought her career was over, she debuted.

Lin Liangyue: "..." No, I really don't understand the entertainment industry.
