An Older Brother Is Just an Older Brother

A scheming younger sister VS a desperate older brother

As a child, the naive Wu Shi was adopted by a family and couldn’t understand why her parents had disappeared.

Jiang Shuo took her hand and held the little girl in his arms. “From today on, I’m your big brother. I’ll take good care of you.”

Wu Shi spent eighty percent of her time with Jiang Shuo as she grew up.

When she went through childhood trauma, Jiang Shuo held her while she called him “Mom”...

When she got her first period during her rebellious phase, Jiang Shuo went out and bought her sanitary pads himself...

When she reached adolescence and her friends started dating, she instinctively looked for someone who measured up to Jiang Shuo...

Wu Shi never thought there was anything wrong with it until one day Jiang Shuo came to pick her up, and a classmate saw them.

Her classmate teased her, “Do you call your boyfriend ‘big brother’?”

“What boyfriend...” Wu Shi’s eyes darted away. “A big brother is just a big brother...”

Wu Shi was his little sister. First she was the little sister who shared his hardships, then the annoying little liar, and later the sweet, sensible little sister...

From the age of sixteen, Wu Shi was all that remained in Jiang Shuo’s world.

He studied desperately, took on every part-time job he could, and saved every penny so he could bring Wu Shi to live with him. He couldn’t stand hearing her cry every time they spoke on the phone.

Later, he even quit school to earn money, working day and night. His reason was that his little sister was growing up and needed a room of her own.

For the more than ten years they had depended on each other, Jiang Shuo had always treated Wu Shi as his own little sister...

But then, one day, he couldn’t understand himself.

Why, when his little sister smiled at that guy, did he find himself thinking...

Lock Wu Shi up.
