Three Hundred Million Years as a Dog [Western Fantasy]

Opening at 400 followers

The day God returned to the heavenly realm after disappearing for three hundred years, He brought a human with Him.

Afterward, He made that human the King of Angels, declaring that from then on, his position in heaven would be second only to His own.

That day, even Gabriel, who had never gotten along with me, couldn't help asking Him whether my three hundred million years as His dog were worth less than the three hundred years Metatron had spent by His side.

He answered calmly, "Yes."

Hearing His answer, I felt little stir within me as I sat nearby on the throne of the Vicegerent.

The next day, I calmly jumped from the Holy Mountain.

I hadn't given it much thought. After all those years, He still didn't love me, so I might as well leave on my own.

Years later, while living in seclusion in the demon realm, I heard the news: after the former Vicegerent of Heaven fell from grace, God had gone mad.

Pairing: God Yahweh, outwardly aloof and desireless but actually fiercely possessive x Michael, the former loyal dog who has now fallen from grace. A painful, melodramatic read. Leaving this here for now (
