Reader's Guide:

1. ++lvl, primarily from the uke's perspective.

Seme: The protagonist, Jiu Ye, son of the Wolf Venerable of the Demon Clan. A proud, deranged little wolfdog who eventually grows into the Demon Venerable.

Uke: A villainous cannon-fodder who rises through the ranks to become the most doted-on person in the Three Realms, thanks to his connections. Sometimes he slacks off, sometimes he goes all out.

Early on, the cannon-fodder is held back by the System's rules and may be timid, but he is absolutely not a saint or a coward. He breaks free of the restrictions in the middle of the story.

3. The story is roughly divided into three volumes: the mortal world, the cultivation world, and the immortal world. The slow-developing plot runs along several parallel threads. Both the protagonist and the cannon-fodder grow over time, protecting each other and finding mutual redemption.

Jiang Nian is both timid and not very bright, so the System has no choice but to grit its teeth, coax him, and keep the plot going. Before long, without meaning to, it turns him into one of the most formidable little villains in the Transmigration Bureau.

Both leads are virgins. Men who aren't virgins don't deserve a place at the table. The setting and worldview are entirely fictional and have nothing to do with reality.
