The Math Duo's Room

Xi Daoai, a zombie who has slept for a thousand years, wakes up one day to discover that she can hear only half of what people say. With no other choice, she goes to see a doctor. The doctor has never heard of this kind of condition before and asks curiously, "Can you hear what I'm saying?" Xi Daoai only hears: "Can you hear what I'm saying?" The doctor's face fills with shock. He asks again, "When did these symptoms start?" Xi Daoai: "When did they start?" The doctor is clearly getting flustered. He scratches his head. "Sixty-six?" Xi Daoai: "Thirty-three." Doctor: "!!?" The doctor has no explanation for this phenomenon, and it soon attracts the attention of higher-ups. When the investigating professor arrives, he says jokingly, "Pi." Xi Daoai's next words make the professor's expression change dramatically. From that moment on, the fields of mathematics, physics, astronomy, and many others undergo earth-shattering changes. An invisible force envelops the planet. People are divided into pairs and locked in rooms where they must kill the other person 100 times to get out. Rational people begin to wonder: "What if we can't actually kill them 100 times? What if they really die the first time, don't come back to life, and we can never leave, forced to spend our whole lives in this room with their corpse?" Sensitive people begin to grieve: "Everyone kills the one they love in a different way. Some use spiteful glares, others flattering words. The most merciful use a blade, so their beloved suffers less." Xi Daoai, who isn't human: "Isn't the goal just to kill the other person? Social death counts too." Theme: At the mountain's peak, great rivers surge; above the peaks, mighty winds roar.
