One moment, please. I'm revising the full text before releasing it.
◆ For works of the same type, see Level 4 English [Complete], Graduate Entrance Exams [Next Book], IELTS, and TOEFL in my profile. For the series on civil service exams, public institution exams, Chinese, and math, see my profile.
◆ The writing style is the same as Level 4. The novel mixes English throughout. I don't include phonetic symbols because they turn into garbled text. The author's notes at the end of each chapter include a vocabulary summary and a version without vocabulary. I recommend reading the notes as well.
◆ For English textbooks, see the Ministry of Education. This novel doesn't take English grammar into account at all. It's just a silly, fun read written for laughs, so it's very imprecise. Literal and free translations differ too. Just enjoy the spectacle and don't take it too seriously.
Liu Yining is bound to a Level 6 English exam tool-person System. Her mission is to play a supporting role and help the male and female leads get together, while also finding a study buddy for the Level 6 English exam.
But before she can find a study buddy, Liu Yining always dies because she's a disposable character. In simple terms, this ridiculous tool-person System lets the leads have cheat abilities while she gets killed off.
For instance, in a story about a woman who runs away while pregnant, she's the hotel maid who gets the room number wrong and brings the leads together. They spend a night together in a dramatic push and pull, while she loses her job for making a mistake and ends up so poor she starves to death.
In a second-chance romance, she's a married driver who gets asked for relationship advice all the time. She gets into a car accident while driving the male lead to the airport as he leaves the country. He gets away with a minor scrape and reunites with the female lead, while she dies on the spot.
In a campus romance, she's the homeroom teacher who seats the leads together so they can study. They live happily ever after, while she's blamed for a teaching incident caused by them, fired, and dies of depression.
In an entertainment-industry story, she's a gossip who discusses the leads on Weibo and forums. The leads take the opportunity to clear up a misunderstanding, while she gets a lawyer's letter, spends several years in jail, and dies without getting better.
In a domineering CEO story, she's the family doctor who gets woken up late at night, the housekeeper who reminds the male lead to take medicine for his stomach condition, the maid who notices he's eaten an extra bowl of rice for the first time, the buddy who realizes he's finally smiling sincerely, the secretary who catches him spacing out, and the assistant who gets dumped with every task whenever the leads argue.
In reborn stories, household-intrigue stories, palace-intrigue stories, and transmigration stories, she's the old monk who sees through everything and gives advice, the maid who keeps water ready after the leads consummate their marriage, the imperial physician who'll be executed alongside the patient if treatment fails, the peddler who mistakes the leads for a married couple, the innkeeper whose establishment always has only one room left, and the hidden guard who can find out anything about the male lead...
No matter what role she plays, the outcome is always the same: dead.
Finally, after dying for the 999th time, Liu Yining wakes up. Whoever wants to be a tool person can take the job. She's done with it.
Furiously grabbing the Level 6 vocabulary book in her hand, Liu Yining smacks the male lead of this world right in the face with it. "Either you start dating properly or you die."
A certain person, who has been watching the whole thing, gives her an approving look. "Not bad. The little disposable character has grown up."
Liu Yining is startled. "Aren't you the person who gave legal advice in the CEO story? Why are you here?"
The person wags a slender, jade-like index finger and smiles. "No, no, I'm not a lawyer. I'm the one who collects your body."
Liu Yining: "!?"
The person leisurely counts on their fingers. "Let's see, I've collected your body 999 times already. When do you plan to die this time? Give me a definite answer so I can make it an even number."
[Reading Guide]
① The setting differs from the Level 4 story. The vocabulary book in that story deals magical damage: whatever you say in English comes true. The Level 6 vocabulary book in this story deals physical damage. Think of it as a knowledge-powered machine gun: whoever it hits dies.
② Some readers may not enjoy certain small worlds because of their unusual settings, so each world's story will be kept short and condensed as much as possible, to avoid having too much of an impact on readers who skip around.
③ As usual, the whole story mixes in English, and the chapter-end notes explain the vocabulary. The format is the same as in the Level 4 story. The writing is logically consistent, but doesn't consider English grammar. The focus is on learning through vocabulary in context. The words in this novel are from Jinshan Ciba.
Theme: You think I'm reading a novel? No, I'm actually studying!
Why don't you write sister? I'm taking the CET-6 test this year
Is it stuck? Why are there zero clicks? Am I not a person?
I read this book after taking the CET-6 exam naked, and I didn't recognize half of the first chapter. I knew I wouldn't pass CET-6 this time [crying]
Hello, why don't you update the article?
Knowledge comes into the head in a strange way! To add: Pierce has a special usage, Piercing for ear piercing. Other than that, it is rare to see anyone using this word.
Sisters, I love you for pre-ordering. It's so abstract, so abstract. I haven't watched the heroine's perspective for hundreds of years. You hooked me straight into the trap [Star Eyes] [Star Eyes]
I strongly beg for a book to take the PTE exam! I will send a big torpedo
Wow! I really like the heroine's last sentence! !
