During the farming off-season, Jin Chunhui hauled bags and bundles to visit her husband.

His application for family housing had been approved, and he had immediately written to her, urging her to come stay for two months.

After traveling a great distance to the family compound and spending a few days there, Jin Chunhui felt uneasy.

She didn't tell her husband she was secretly trying to lose weight. Other people thought he was steadfast and imposing, but around her he never behaved himself. He'd only get in the way of her weight-loss efforts.
