Fang Tang, a frail young man, was told by a fortune-telling master that his yin energy was too strong. To survive, he would need to marry a man with abundant yang energy whose birth chart was compatible with his.

So Master Fang, who doted on Fang Tang, secretly searched all over Yanyang City for suitable men, testing and screening them one by one.

In the end, Pu Yan, a tall, strong, and upstanding hunter from Yuxi Village, caught Master Fang's eye.

Though Pu Yan was poor, he had plenty of pride and didn't think much of the delicate, pampered, and arrogant Fang Tang.

So Master Fang used all sorts of tricks to get Pu Yan to marry Fang Tang.

One day after the wedding,

Fang Tang couldn't take it anymore. In tears, he ran back to his family home.

Master Fang was horrified. "What's wrong, my son? Did Pu Yan bully you? If he dared to mistreat you, I'd tear him limb from limb!"

Fang Tang wept. "He... he made me work in the fields!"

Master Fang: "..."

"Haven't you been feeling less weak lately? Stronger, with a better appetite and better sleep?"

Fang Tang stopped crying and said softly, "I guess so."

Before agreeing to marry Fang Tang, Pu Yan had told Master Fang that Fang Tang mustn't bring any servants or valuable dowry with him. If he truly wanted to be a farmer's husband, he would have to do everything for himself.

There was some spite behind the demand, but since the marriage was already settled, Pu Yan also hoped that simple physical work would help his overly pampered little husband exercise and build up his strength.

He just hadn't expected his little husband to throw a tantrum and run away after only a few days of work.

At first, Pu Yan thought, Let him go. I never wanted to marry him in the first place.

But before long, it just didn't sit right with him!

"He's married to me now, so he's mine. How can I let him run off whenever he wants?"

Pu Yan decided to go retrieve him the next day. But when he opened the door the following morning, his little husband was standing outside, asking awkwardly, "Do you still want me?"
