Newlyweds in Ancient Times

Jiang Xu and Song Xiyan, members of the Five idol boy band, transmigrate to another world in ancient times and become a newlywed couple who have just finished their wedding night.

Song Xiyan: Thanks for asking, but why am I the husband’s male spouse?!

They have a biased mother who needs setting straight, a little tyrant of a nephew, and a niece who’s been taught to put up with everything and needs guidance.

Jiang Xu and Song Xiyan: They clasp hands and gaze at each other through tear-filled eyes.

They’re too weak to lift a finger or carry anything heavy, and they don’t know how to cook any of the food that transmigrators are supposed to make.

After much thought, Song Xiyan decides to pin his hopes on his “husband,” who at least has the original body’s qualifications as a licentiate.

Jiang Xu (shaking his head frantically): I can’t do it. I really can’t!

But behind the scenes, he’s already studying with a book suspended from the ceiling and an awl pricking his thigh to keep him awake.

What can I say? I’ve got to support my wife!

That’s all just fluff. Basically, it’s the ridiculous daily life of two useless idiots from a boy band in ancient times, doing farm work, taking the imperial exams, and handling diplomacy.
