I Was a General Once, Too

[Blurb One]

I was framed and died in battle on the northern front.

Back in the capital, I left behind my widower, Yang He.

After my death, the court issued three orders summoning my Red Sash Army back to the capital. Three times, my army defied the decree.

The court fell into chaos, and so my dull, uninteresting widower came to the rescue.

When Yang He arrived, his hair was loose and he was dressed in mourning for me from head to toe.

He said he had come to bring my Red Sash Army home, but my furious subordinates imprisoned him before my coffin and beat him until he was covered in wounds.

Beneath the lashes and blows, he called out my name.

My name is Fu Hongling. Now I am a frail captive who cannot even look after herself.

But once, I was a general.

[Blurb Two]

Yang He set a trap, sacrificing his own life to send my army home.

I tried to unravel his trap, reclaim the self who had died, and bring my army and Yang He home.

The central theme: bringing a doomed army home.

A man who handles the economy x a woman who once commanded armies

(The female lead transmigrates into another body; third-person narration.)

(The blurb, point of view, and setting may change, but the characters will not.)

Theme: Never stop striving for self-improvement.
